Landfills in Brazil have, until recently, been scarce with many areas simply allowing garbage to be piled up in an unsanitary fashion creating huge health threats and large generators of biomass. It is now being mandated by the Brazilian government that these large unchecked areas of waste now be managed in an environmentally responsible manner in order to reduce the polluting outputs. Left alone, these wastes emit methane and carbon dioxide greenhouse gases into the air, produce unacceptable odor that impacts their resident communities, and present a sanitation risk. We believe with the use of our product we can potentially transform such liabilities into a profitable ancillary business for the landfills.
